Steve is a tax partner with Carver Moquist & O'Connor, LLC and has over 16 years experience in S-Corporation, Partnership, LLC, LLP and individual tax issues, along with significant experience in both audit and financial reporting. He has worked with a variety of industries including service, construction, printing, wholesale, real estate and restaurants. Prior to joining Carver Moquist & O'Connor, LLC, Steve worked with the Internal Revenue Service and a large local CPA firm.

Steve received his Juris Doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from Gustavus Adolphus College, graduating Cum Laude. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Hennepin County Bar Association.

Professional Focus
Steve concentrates on providing proactive value added tax services to closely held businesses and individuals. He develops a clear understanding of his client’s goals in order to provide effective tax and cash flow planning. Steve also assists clients with proper entity selection, like-kind exchanges, acquisitions, exit strategies and IRS representation.

Personal Interests
Steve, along with his wife and three children, reside in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. In his leisure time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, hockey and fast pitch softball.
