Kevin D. Whitaker, JD, CPA

Working Background:

Kevin is a tax partner with over 15 years of experience in business and individual taxation. Prior to joining Carver Moquist & O’Connor in October of 2006, Kevin worked with the tax practice of PriceWaterhouseCoopers assisting emerging and SEC companies with their tax planning and compliance needs. Kevin has significant experience in assisting clients in such areas as FAS 109, research and development credits, multi-state tax issues, and mergers and acquisitions.

Kevin earned his Juris Doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law, and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Gustavus Adolphus College. He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association as well as the American Institute of CPAs and the Minnesota Society of CPAs.

Professional Focus

Kevin provides tax consulting and compliance assistance to closely held businesses and their owners as well as public companies in a variety of industries. As a partner, he also mentors junior and senior accounting staff by providing leadership and career development.

Personal Interests

Kevin, his wife and son reside in Plymouth, Minnesota. Kevin enjoys golfing, biking and snowmobiling.
