Brian is a senior tax manager with
Carver Moquist & O'Connor, LLC. He
has over 15 years of experience in individual, corporate, partnership,
and estate taxation as well as significant experience in auditing,
financial reporting and accounting issues. Brian has served clients in
industries including construction, retail, manufacturing, non-profit and
health care services. Prior to joining CMO, he was a partner with Leary
& Associates P.A., in West St. Paul.
Brian received his Bachelor of Arts degree in
accounting from the University of St. Thomas, graduating summa cum laude
with an overall GPA of 3.9. He went on to receive a Master of Business
Taxation degree from the University of Minnesota in 1997. He is a member
of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the
Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Professional Focus
Brian is an enthusiastic advocate for small businesses and their owners.
He assists his clients using timely financial reports to monitor
financial progress, provide useful advice and develop tax saving
strategies throughout the year. The biggest tax saving opportunities
occur during, not after, the year end.
Personal Interests
Brian resides in Cottage Grove with his wife and two young daughters. He
enjoys golf, running, fishing, and studying war history and theology.
